A 4 week course delivering an overview of yoga and its many facets. Aims to prepare the learner for future yoga classes of their choice.
No previous experience is necessary and the course is suitable for all ages and abilities. Topics covered are bodily strength, detoxification and flexibility. Also traditional Vedic breathing methods and exploration of the mind / body connection that is inherent in Yoga philosophy.
The course also covers a basic introduction to mind training through meditation, breath awareness and relaxation techniques to combat stress, anxiety and other emotional related issues.
Participants will learn asana, pranayama and dietary steps specific to their needs. Also how to better integrate Yoga philosophy and Ayurveda into their own practice.
